Mark recently attended his first big boy film, the new Muppet movie. It got two thumbs up from Mark and Matt. And, yes, Mark wore that hat through the entire film.

"Merry Shristmac" to All...
So by now you've hopefully gotten the Christmas card photo. It was a cute idea, Lynne and Matt thought, to sit Mark in front of the fridge & line up some letters behind him. Plus, we thought Mark would really go for the idea of an alphabet Christmas.Turns out we were right. He thought taking a picture in front of the fridge was awesome. We got some good shots, made them into cards, mailed them off. Done.
Then the next night Mark decided we should take his Christmas picture in front of the fridge again. Only this time he had his own ideas of how to make it a winner.
First he spent ten minutes arranging some letters for his backdrop.
Then he chose a very Christmassy hat, and sat down to say cheese.
"Wait!" he said, as we were about to snap the shot. "I need a really long nose!" So he made himself an elephant nose out of Legos, then plopped down for the real Christmas photo.
(He also said he turned gray, but somehow that didn't show up in the photo. You'll just have to use your imagination.)

Mark of Fridays: Bad Santa

This weekend, Mark got to meet another one of his heroes. Santa was at the mall...although he was not necessarily a right jolly old elf.
Twinkling eyes? His dimples, how merry?
Um, well, not so much. (Really, compare Santa to the last time we saw him. He may need a vacation.)
Anyhow, Santa asked Mark what he wanted for Christmas.
Mark said: "Presents."
Looks like it will be a Merry Christmas here!

Mark of Fridays: A long trip
A few weeks ago, Mark, Lynne and Matt took the train downtown to look at the lights and sights.
Because of this book, Mark thought the train was taking him to Hawaii. Sadly, no such luck.
But a good time was had by all anyhow. Mark got to see the bean and the faces on the big wall.
Mark thought he could change the colors by pushing on the wall. Who knows? Maybe he could.
