He polled Lynne, Megan, Lynne's mom and overwhelmingly, without a doubt, they all said...it didn't matter to them.
So, after much consternation, Matt decided he would tag along to the baby shower, if just to help move chairs and load gifts in the car.
At least that's the public reason he gave.
But, really, Matt figured this would be his only chance to go to a baby shower. He could be a spy!

Finally, he would know what women said when the men weren't around. Finally, he would see The Woman in her natural habitat, free of guile.
Matt attended with trepidation. He stayed against the walls, trying desperately to be invisible. He was a fly on the wall. Less than that - he was the paint on the wall, simply observing. And Matt learned the secret.
Unless.
Unless.
Unless, they knew Matt was there and so they only pretended to be normal. That's probably it.
The shower was fantastic with great games (come back tomorrow), wonderful decorations and fantastic gifts. Lynne and Matt were absolutely overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. This is going to be best-dressed, most-loved toddler ever. Lynne and Matt were once again reminded how blessed they truly are to be surrounded with such a fantastic group of family and friends.
