And now it's time for.... the Main Events!

We're getting pretty close to the Big Day now, and Lynne and Matt have started the Frantic Craziness Stage of wedding planning, when it seems like there are a million details that need to be attended to and a mere 3 WEEKS left to get everything figured out. We've noticed that you, too, seem to be planning for the Big Day--scheduling flights, booking your hotel rooms, finally remembering to send in your response cards. And you have started to ask Lynne and Matt very detailed questions regarding what their plans are for the Big Day and, frankly, the entire Big Weekend. So we thought we'd make it easy for you (and us) and put everything you need to know right here on our blog.

Friday, July 11
12:30 PM: Wedding party women (that's Leslie, Laura, Megan, Lynne, Mrs. Seago, & Mrs. Hanley) report to Egg Harbor Cafe in downtown Naperville. Lynne's Aunt Carol will treat everyone to a luncheon and manicures/pedicures at nearby Zano's Salon.

Egg Harbor Cafe is located at 175 W. Jackson Ave. in Naperville, across from the Riverwalk. You can park in the Riverwalk lots off Jackson or on the street. Click here to see a map of the area.

6:00 PM: Wedding Party (including Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, Flower Girl, Ringbearer, Ushers, Readers, Parents, & Grandparent) report to Woodridge United Methodist Church for the rehearsal. Pastor Linda Misewicz-Perconte and our organist, Ingrid Mueller, will walk everyone through what they need to do and where they need to stand on the Big Day. Guys: this is when you'll learn whether you should stand with your hands folded in front of you or behind your backs. Very important stuff.
The church is located at 2700 75th St. in Woodridge. Click here to see a map of the church.

7:00 PM: Rehearsal dinner, hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Hanley. All invited parties report to Suparossa Italian Restaurant for a nice dinner, which will be our thank-you to you for being involved in our Big Day.

Suparossa's is located at 6310 Route 53 in Woodridge. If you're coming from the church, you'll turn right onto 75th St. out of the parking lot, then right onto Rt. 53. The restaurant will be on your left after you pass the huge Cinemark movie theater. Click here to see a map of the restaurant.

10:00 PM-ish: After the Rehearsal Dinner, Matt and Lynne will head to Mullen's Bar & Grill. If you are already in town for the wedding and would like to see Lynne and Matt before the Big Day, feel free to come join is! One warning: Lynne gets pretty tired, so she'll have to leave Mullen's before she turns into a pumpkin. Matt's a Night Owl, though, so he just might close the place down... especially if Alex is with him.

Mullen's is located at 3080 Warrenville Rd in Lisle. If you're coming from the Holiday Inn, you turn left out of the hotel parking lot onto Diehl, then take your first left onto Naperville Rd. Mullen's will be on your left after you go under the highway. The entire trip should take about two minutes. Click here for a map of Mullen's.

Saturday, July 12

10:30 AM: Bridesmaids will meet (location TBD but probably at either Lynne's house or the Holiday Inn) and head to their hair appointments at Elegante Salons, near Lynne's house. Please bring your dresses, make-up, and whatever you will need for the day. Hair appointments are at 11:00 a.m., and everyone should be done by 1 p.m. We will then plan to go back to Lynne's house for some lunch, make-up fixing, and a little R & R.
2:30 PM: Wedding party (including Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, Parents, Flower Girl, Ringbearer, Readers, Ushers, Parents, and Grandparent) will report to the church. Guys: please be suited up and ready to go. Girls: You'll have the option of putting your dresses on at the church; whether you choose to do that or not is up to you. There will be some light picture-taking as well as flower-pinning and general organizing that needs to be done before the ceremony begins.

4:00 PM: Wedding service begins. For those who didn't read the "Friday" section above, the church is located at 2700 75th St. in Woodridge. Click here to see a map.

4:45 PM-ish: After the wedding service ends, Lynne and Matt would like to take some family pictures in the sanctuary. So if you're related to the bridge or groom--aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, great aunts, grandparents, etc.--please plans to stay at the church a few minutes after the ceremony ends. If you're not related to Lynne or Matt, that means you get to head over to the Holiday Inn early and get the first crack at the appetizers & the booze.

5:15 PM-ish: Wedding Party will leave the church to take pictures in a yet-to-be-disclosed outdoorsy location with superstar photographers Craig and Sebastian. Plan to be patient--Matt is notoriously awkward whenever someone asks him to pose for a photo.

6:00 PM: Cocktail hour begins at the Holiday Inn. Drinks and appetizers will be served. Shrimp fans should note that Mr. Seago ordered Jumbo Shrimp especially for the occasion, so be sure to save him a few of those.

The Holiday Inn is located at 1801 N. Naper Blvd. in Naperville. To get there from the church, you'll turn right out of the church parking lot onto 75th St. You'll then make a right onto Naper Blvd (there will a Dominick's grocery store on the corner). The Holiday Inn will be on your left after you cross Ogden Ave. Click here to see a map of the hotel.

7:00 PM: The Wedding party will arrive at the reception. The cake will be cut, the toasts will be made, and the blessing will be said. Dinner will be served. Then, we dance!

12:00 AM: Reception ends. If you aren't staying at the hotel, please make sure you either have a designated driver or another safe way to get home.

Sunday, July 13th

For members of the Seago/Stewart/Mitchell family: Mr. & Mrs. Seago are hosting a brunch at their house from 9 a.m. to noon. It's an open house, so feel free to stop by on the way to the airport or on your way out of town. Or, you can come early and stay the whole time. It should be noted that Mr. Seago is a fabulous cook, especially when it comes to breakfast foods.
See Lynne, Matt or the Seagos for directions.

For everyone else: The restaurant inside the Holiday Inn serves a nice Sunday brunch. Lynne and Matt are planning to eat their breakfast at the Holiday Inn and hang around in the lobby on Sunday morning so we can see you all one more time before you head out. Feel free to come on down and join us!

12:00-5:00 PM: Lynne and Matt are planning to have a very informal open house at their house Sunday afternoon. It won't be anything fancy--we're talking a party sub and chips here, folks--but feel free to stop on by if you're local or you're not planning to leave town until later Sunday or Monday. We'll plan to open our wedding gifts around 3 p.m.

See Lynne or Matt for directions.

And that's all folks! We hope this helps you plan for the Big Weekend, and we look forward to seeing all of you then!
