A: Sept. 26. That's right - one day before her birthday. Matt is quite concerned that he will never be able to top this gift.

A: The bun is in the oven. Lynne is with child. Lynne's preggers.* This is one diddle that can't be undid - that eggo is preggo, home skillet.* Lynne is expecting. Lynne is carrying the bass drum.* Lynne has caught Mom fever.* Lynne is in a family way.* Lynne is expecting a little stranger.* Lynne is in the kiddy line.* Lynne swallowed a watermelon seed.* Lynne is awaiting the pitter patter of little feet.* Lynne has a certain glow about her. Lynne is eating for two.* Lynne is carrying, due, gestating, growing one.**** Lynne is hiding a basketball under her shirt.* Lynne is storked.* Lynne is a mom-to-be.

Q: How's Lynne feeling?
A: She's feeling very good. A little more tired than usual, but otherwise very good. Everything is healthy and fine, the doctors say.
Q: So, are you going to find out what it is?
A: Um, we're pretty sure it's a baby. That's an odd question.
Q: How long did it take to you make that fake ultrasound? And are you going to post the real deal?
A: It didn't take that long, actually. Below is the real one, but good luck figuring out what it is. This child appears to be a black-and-white jelly bean.
Q: So how long have you guys known about this?A: Lynne and Matt found out Feb. 2. Lynne called Matt at work and asked when he was coming home. It was a busy day and Matt was running late. Lynne called again. Matt said soon. Lynne asked if he could pick up some soup on the way home. Matt got the soup and a bagel for himself. When he got home, Lynne asked Matt if the bagel was for him. (It was.) Then she said, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. In the journalism business, that's called burying the lead. Matt almost jumped out of his shoes.
A few days later, Lynne and Matt were in the doctor's office, listening to the heartbeat. Absolutely awesome.
Q: So how long have your parents known?
A: We told them right around Valentine's Day. And they've been busting to tell everyone they know ever since. Matt and Lynne gave them Valentines addressed to Grandma and Grandpa, Nana and Pop with a picture of The Baby inside.
Q: So soon?
A: You bet! Wish The Big Day II was here already!

Regarding Q #2: You'll have to ask Dave how he deals with it - Michael was born on my birthday. :)
Really? I did not realize that! So, does Michael understand that he shares a birthday? Does he think it's cool?
Everyone is lobbying for the baby to be born on their birthday - dad on Oct. 2. We'll see...
No, I don't think he does yet. So far, we've just made the day to be his day. He's just putting together that birthdays are when you have cake and get presents. Dave likes to tease that I don't have a birthday anymore, but then he tries to take me out for dinner or something around that time.
Michael was 3 days late, so I wasn't hoping for him to come on my birthday. The nurses and doctor all thought it was pretty funny, though, and in the end it's pretty cool that I get to share the day with my son. Babies come when they want - Michael was 3 days late and Katelyn was 2 weeks early.
